The research focuses on methodology support for companies, municipalities and other organisations that want to work strategically with sustainable development, i.e. organisations that want to contribute to society’s transition to sustainability in a way that strengthens the individual organisation.

The focus is on systematic leadership towards sustainability so it is highly relevant to our work at BTH. The knowledge captured in this special volume helps leaders understand what sustainability is, i.e., how to define it, and to operationalize it in a systematic and strategic way in any arena or organization and across disciplines and sectors.
